Stability through 1 on 1 Personal Attention and Prayer

Pastoral Counseling: There is a huge difference doing counseling as ministry. Did you get what you really wanted through psychological counseling? Psychological counseling can be really helpful. There is much to be gleaned from Psychology. But if the answers you are looking for is more than the answers you have inside then you need God and His answers to the problems of life. Perhaps you either know or want to know God. If you know God, you know he has what you need. Or maybe you are open to the possibility that God will give you what you need. You need someone to come along beside you with compassion and confidentiality to help you receive what you need from God. That is my definition of ministry and that is what I am her to do. Call me at 770-828-6636 for an appointment and for more information. About donations. I'm not in the position to provide my time without donations to help pay bills. The typical donation is $60 per session, some can donate less, some can donate more. Prayerfully consider what will work for you. Individual and Marriage counseling - Christ Centered weight loss support and if you are interested in a group setting, let me know. - Family therapy helps members by creating a context where emotionally charged issues in the relationship can be explored and where each partner develops awareness of how their behavior contributes to the problem situation. Couples come to therapy seeking to revive love, sex, intimacy, and communication in their relationship. Typical problems include threats of divorce, infidelity or cheating, fighting, anxiety, substance abuse, emotional withdrawal and conflict over spending and money.

Individual Therapy: From a Relational or Family Systems model, I focus on counseling the person to become aware of how his behavior effects others and prevents him from developing closeness and stability in relationships. The therapy also helps the person examine and change destructive premises and beliefs that lead to behaviors that are self defeating.

BRIEF BIOGRAPHY

I was born and grew up near Brevard, NC. My parents were very active in the local
Baptist church. My Dad was a deacon and both parents were Sunday school teachers
among other jobs at church.  Their relationship with God and expression of it has been
a was very important influence throughout my life.

I accepted Christ as my savior at age 11. But at age 13 I hear someone speaking saying
the miracles were symbolic not literal and I questioned everything not having personally
seen any miracles.

By God’s grace I quickly realized I had no reason to be on this planet without God and His
plan for my life. I asked God to show me his presence and he did I was deeply serious
about God and His purposes for me. I soon found that even at 13, I was doing a
lot of listening to people’s problems. I came to believe that I was being called to become
a pastoral counselor.  I went to a Baptist college, where I immediately got involved with a
charismatic prayer group that formed from several freshman. I had already prayed to be
filled with the Holy Spirit but there I received the gift of praying in tongues. I began to
pray for people to be healed.  Some were shocked when they were healed.

Our prayer group experienced great joy seeing the reality of the work of the Holy Spirit.
At that point I wanted to find a path for counselor training other than the secular route.
The seminaries that I knew anything about at that time, really promoted a secular point
of view.  I believed I heard God tell me after fasting and
praying for a few days to go feed his lambs in California. I was amazed since at that
point I still a freshman at Carson Newman college in Tennessee.  I decided to stay open
to it and see what would happen.

After I graduated from college and taught in public school 2 years in North Carolina.
I went to Los Angeles traveling with a Christian girlfriend that I attended college
There I met Andy Comisky asking for information to help a guy, I knew in college, that had
decided he was gay.

Andy invited me to go to his meetings and soon ask me to lead the group for  woman that
were lesbians. I told him I didn’t know anything about lesbians. He replied he couldn’t
find anything written about lesbians, the year was 1980. I prayed about it and felt the Lord
said listen to the Holy Spirit which is what I learned to do.
Through the years, especially in the last 10 years deliverance has become a important part of
counseling listening to the Holy Spirit has proven to be the only truly effective way to do
counseling.  Through the years, as I have worked, as a counselor, I have seen a full spectrum
of people, with a varied list of issues. It has always been interesting and often amazing, to
be involved with the presence of God, working in the lives of people. I have had the great
opportunity to help people as he leads them, toward restoration, so that they, will be able,
to walk out his plan, for their individual lives.

As I pastoral counseling, using the gifting that God has given me, of word of knowledge,
wisdom, counsel, decernment of spirits, deliverance, prophecy, and mercy, and with great
expectation, I look forward to how I might be used, by God, to see people delivered from
emotional and physical pain, to be free to be all they can be, in Christ.
